FANDANGO II
Awhile ago we laughed.
Tonight I cry.
It was a dream outside my grasp.
Another year gone by.
How does one lose such a dream?
How does one cope?
The dream was there, yet powerless,
Through long nights filled with hope.
Guilt and shame with much to rue;
A gem I sold for cost.
How can one sell a kindred soul?
And not feel the pain of loss?
Now it's over. The light is out.
How do I reconcile?
Can I linger by, once more, awhile?
I love and miss you Dango! Sharon

I had the great privilege many years ago of witnessing a stunningly beautiful performance by this horse and rider. It opened my eyes to a whole new world of art.
Viewing this photo still brings tears to my eyes as my mind's eye recaptures pieces of the poignantly graceful performance. The great heart of this special creature was so evident in every move she made.
Fandango, you were a marvelous sight to behold!
(Could this memorial perhaps include the music used in that performance? It was in Roanoke, Va. in the early '90s.)
